Winding Up Order

It looks as though we haven't paid some more bills. We're on the list for winding-up orders in the High Court tomorrow.

Anyone know what's going on, that we keep getting these orders?

I saw this earlier, thought against putting it up though. This happens every few months... it's slightly worrying, but things always seem to get sorted out in the end. If we were in severe financial trouble we would have sold Tomlin (and others) and not taken any new faces on board. I think KE just likes leaving bills until the last minute.

What ID said, no point getting worried about these things (although I don't condone leaving bills until the last minute!), they're just part of the game unfortunately.

From what KC said at the Fans Forum, we're not brilliant financially, but not much different to other clubs. I remember him saying that we seem to get them more than the others, but he always settles the bill in the end (and he did say that's probably why they do it).

Many moons ago I was told that business is about holding on to other people's money as long as possible but it can be a dangerous game.

Shouldn't have given those two mercs to Leon Knight and we wouldn't be in this pickle. :?

Practically becoming mundane now.

The worry is that it happens so often we have been desensatised to it, and now if a serious one does come along then we won't know about it until it is too late.

However I believe due to the fact we are making signings (or rather have made), we clearly have a little more room left in the budget for the season (trialists), and the money coming in from Simeon Jackson's move to Nowrich, we aren't up the swanny, at least not this time. The only worry is that we are feeling the pinch of not having a shirt sponsor yet.

First of the season. Note also that Crawley are on the list! As are Ilkeston and Dorchester. Not trying to detract from the point though.

It seems that these winding-up orders are not winding us up anymore.

The only winding up order i can find in the official insolvancy publication (London Gazette) was issued in May 2009 by HMRC.

I did notice that a new company Rushden and Diamonds ( 2008) Ltd was set up in March 2009.
