It's too early yet to have a proper estimate but I'm curious to where people think we will finish on the table this season(If we do finish)
my guess is 10th after what we have seen in terms of transfers and pre season results

I think we will do well to finish higher than we did last season, but I have full faith in Justin that we will finish there or thereabout.

11th. Who's gonna score goals?
Osano is not a centre back either, the quicker some of Tommo's cash goes on a centre half and a centre forward (Yes please, Rene Howe!) the better!

9th. In my eyes the league is stronger than last year and we are weaker! Stevenage and Oxford were good, but Darlington and Grimsby won't be any worse, and with Newport and Fleetwood coming up, it will certainly strengthen it, along with Crawley 'City'. Without Tomlin, Downer and Terry, we are definitely lighter than last year, hopefully JE can pull of a few more signings including another Byrne-like loan signing!

And since then, we've lost Tommo's goals and assists plus Byrne's unselfish runs which laid on many a goal for the team. I honestly dont feel we have a goalscorer capable of getting into double figures this season (in the league), though Azza may come closest.

On the contrary, I think Farrell, Smith and O'Connor are all capable of double figures (although in Smith's case it does require him to fulfil some of his latent potential), even without Tomlin and Byrne. I also think Charles is possibly able too, I'll hold my tounge on Simmonds, his goalscoring record at Greenock Morton wasn't exactly the best, but I haven't seen him play either.
Don't get me wrong, we don't have a talisman goalscorer who will go out and get 20, although I am sure we would all love Smith or O'Connor to step into this role (possible but highly unlikely), but I don't think we're going to struggle for goals apart from against the tight defenses of top teams, but we have a number of unproven players in midfield who might be very condusive to the team scoring goals like Byrne was, most if not all are clearly capable of playing the same style of passing football, and that alone will destroy some of the poorer teams (Barrow home and away last season, Gateshead at home, Hayes & Yeading away), OK we might not score as many as last season, but I don't think we are going to be seeing a worrying number of games where we fail to score.

I think we are considerably worse than last season, but because i have faith in Edinburgh I'm going for 10th.
Of course i'm going on pre-season fixtures alone, but our attack is worse, our midfield isn't in the same league as last season, and i could even make a case for saying our defence is going to worse without Downer.
With the team as it stands right now i think we'll be averagely mid table. One or two good additions from the Jacko/Tomlin money and i'd feel a bit better about things. If JE doesn't get given at least some money to spend from the near 300k we have apparently recieved from those transfers then i wouldn't be surprised to see him walk.
I think Johnson and Day are good players, but apart from that i haven't been overly impressed with any of the new signings. After last season we were in a position whereby we could/should have been able to attract some good players to the football club, and i fear we haven't done that, and we may not be in this position again for some years.
I think this weekends game will be extremely interesting. Not only because Fleetwood won't be too far off this season and therefore we will be able to gauge roughly how good we are going to be, but also to see how some of the new players react in a competitive situation.

And at the start of last season people were complaining we had no goals in us, that Az and Faz would never score the goals etc. Suddenly JE pulled something out.
During preseason last year no-one was making any claims that Byrne would do anything like he did.
I'm not saying that we're going to storm anything, just pointing out that we appear to be going in circles ;)
