Gone to Crawley for a reported 300k.

Great timing for us.

He wasn't really firing this season anyway but still it's nice to see the threat gone. That threat replaced by Michael "Two-inch header over the line" Rankine. Personally I'm shitting myself. ;)

Don't say things like that. Ranks will score now, guaranteed.

Don't you mean later - we would have faced him this Saturday.

Yeah, my mistake, thought we were playing Crawley on Saturday for some reason!

If I was a Crawley supporter I would be worried about these so-called "investors" throwing money here there and everywhere (especially on a Grade-A prick like Brodie) and even letting a criminal like Evans spend their money.

Plus they struggle to attract 1200 supporters, so where's the return going to come from? How will they be able to afford the wage bill, as it must be astronomical right now!

Is it any different to what Max did with us???

He pumped money into a footballing set-up (and spent silly money if truth be told) that attracted few people to start with, but gathered momentum as the success came.

How is what happened to us any different to what is happening to Crawley at the moment? :?

If they're successful, the crowds will come..............eventually, trouble is, they'll disappear as soon.

However, we didn't have a manager of Evans' questionable "character" managing us.......although Ploppy fans will argue differently ;)

I guess its not much different to when Max bankrolled us, but it took a few seasons to gain promotion with Max's millions.
It just seems that Crawley are buying the title, much like Chelsea did all those years ago. Its not really Crawley I have a problem with, its more to do with that idiot they have in charge.

The key difference is that we didn't have a team which has also got a bit of cash as well that is just about to open a 20,000 capacity stadium (which they expect will draw crowds) and are in League One, not far away. It makes no business sense on those grounds and I can very easily see it ending in tears.

Also Craddock has left Luton for Oxford. Should be interesting to see how both York and Luton react to the losses of Brodie and Craddock respectively.
