Not sure if anyone knows (maybe Formic or Davealbon) but I was wondering what our record number of games unbeaten at home is? I only ask this because I see that we've gone 9 months (16 games) without losing. I looked on the OWS and couldn't seem to find it if it's on there. :)

It's a good question, as we are close to a record.

These sequences are always debatable, depending on which games are counted - e.g. County Cup games count as first team games officially, but often a reserve or mostly youth team side is used.

My unofficial view is that if we look at League Games our current unbeaten sequence at home is 15, and the record is 17 set at the end of the 1993-94 season - the BHM winning season.

If major cup games are included (i.e. FA Cup, FA Trophy, FA Vase and Football League Cup), the current unbeaten sequence is 16 (as you stated), with the record still being the same 17 games.

If all first team games are included the current sequence is still 16, but the record is 21 from the same 1993-94 period as there were various other games played at home during that period (including a Maunsell Cup victory at the start of the following season).

The full list of Diamonds games is at : http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/Stats ... 47,00.html

Other sequences are listed in the Diamonds history at : http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/ClubH ... 84,00.html

Good article, but I disagree with the following:

Ominously under Brian Talbot, still a legend in these parts

Someone with a good sense of humour! :p
