An extra body to help JE and PD out, Nicholls was a great, very passionate player.
Good shout IMO.

Yep, my best mate is a Luton fan who was gutted with him leaving despite his injury problems, so I'll be rubbing this in.

He is a Luton legend and was a fantastic player in his younger days. He was also a nasty player to have to play against so hopefully some of that will rub off onto our team, as I still think we are a too 'nice' somtimes, which is why we struggle against the likes of Crawley and Newport.

I wonder where this will leave Paul Driver - maybe a step back/sideways - or is Nicholls' appointment a contingency move in case JE should get an offer he can't refuse?

Mixed feelings on that, but I will support JE's choices. Will bring experience, however his 'nasty' player tag is purely built on having a shaved head and when the time comes to step up he bottles it.

Strange move this, I hope it is an addition rather than a replacement.
Timing is also concerning in that Hereford are announcing their new Manager tomorrow! They apparently interviewed the prospective candidates 10 days ago.
I have heard JE say that he does not rule out leaving for a league position, but I would not have thought that Hereford was either an advantageous move or in the right location, so I feel it unlikely but the timing issues concern me.
