.......................Joe Day
Miller.........Thorne.......Corcoran.......Jamie Day
.......Charles.......Power........Porter
.......Farrell.......Smith........O'Connor
Subs;- Gash, Johnson, Key (gk), King, Osano
This is a MUST win match for me if we are going to harbour any hopes of reaching the play-offs. We need to combat their big centre-forward and (having watched the highlights from their win at Mansfield) we need to keep playing it on the floor. They have a few tall players and we need to keep them grounded.

It may be a must win game in some eyes but this weekend will show how much fallout is still around after the sad event.
As for the team to play, i would say Gash would play instead of Farrel or Smith.

The issue with this is two new CB's they probably don't know each other or our RB and LB IMO having corcoran at the back with them will help keep things together a bit more, its not that I don't think they will be good enough its just the fact they haven't played together so we should only use one new guy and have the other on the bench. Of course the issue then is lack of midfielders so put porter in the middle and charles or johnson on the right. I would say go 4-4-2 but we don't have enough midfielders as IMO farrell shouldn't get many more choices.I would play this, providing Huke isn't back:
"].............................Day............................
Osano..........Corcoran.............Thorne..........Day

This is a big make or break game for the rest of the season, although it is all dependant who else is leaving.

Why are so many people suggesting that Ryan Charles should play in central midfield? :?

Lack of midfielders, I suppose

I'd be tempted to say "sod it" and go with a different formation.
------------Joe Day
-----Miller-Thorne-Corocoran----
Osano---------------------------Day
-----------Power--Porter-----------
--Charles-----Gash-----O'Connor
But this would mean a lot of work for those out wide, tracking back when defending, with O'Connor and Charles almost dropping back into midfield, Osano and Day to defense, and then getting back forwards when attacking.
This line up would also easily swap to 4-4-2 without a sub if it wasn't working, Charles dropping to the wing, Day going to the left wing and Corcoran/Thorne covering LB.
I'm undecided on Gash. I'd been deriding him for being useless in front of goal but then realise that in the same time none of the others have exactly been on form, so I'll try to give him more time. I personally didn't rate his holding up skills, but others did, if we need to counter he would be the perfect one to play in the middle of the three up top to allow the pace of Charles and O'Connor to catch up.
