I've decided to have a go at trying to give some of our players that don't currently have a wiki profile one. I've set up Joe Day's today (if you pardon the pun), although it still needs a fair bit of work doing to it (I basically copied and pasted his history from the OS as a starting point). I need help filling in the details. Generally it's about his two loan spells (how many games did he play?) and his height (Formic? ;) ).

Just out of interest, how do you create pages on wikipedia?

I set up Dales one after he died, although it changed a lot after as I didn't really know much about his youth careers etc..

I was gonna make 1 for the rest of the team too but they change so much I couldn't get around to it.

I think with Wikipedia you just need to aim to get a basic set of info down, then others will update or correct (often the person themselves or a relative). Regarding Joe's height I don't know it for a fact - but you can compare him to others on the Team Photo to get a basic idea - i.e. he looks about the same height as Dale who was 6'3".

Well I did say it had been lifted to start it off!

How many games did he play for Brackley and Harrow Borough?

I think your best bet is to look at those clubs' websites and see if they have reports for each game. That's not always practical - although we managed to do it for Nabil Shariff's time at Banbury, but it's not a major priority for the OWS profiles. I tend to just check whether they've played in the Trophy or FA Cup if it still might be relevant to whether they are cup-tied.

It is proposed that this article be deleted because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NFOOTY as he has not played at a fully-professional level of football. Also fails WP:GNG due to a lack of significant media coverage.

It won't last long, people have tried to create pages for our players, but unless they have played in the football league it gets deleted eventually.

Looks like it won't last then. Unfortunately there is a small group on wiki that seem to think they own the place.
