Tomlin...

had his best game yet for Peterborough today. According to Posh fans, he's 'Premiership quality'.

Found it funny how in his Programme notes today , apparently he said at Rushden he was a 'big fish in a small pond', but at Peterborough he is a 'small fish in a big pond'.

Do we have a sell-on percentage fee? Apparently he's been looked at by teams higher up.

I've heard similar things from Posh fans i know.

As far as im aware i dont think we have a sell on clause unfortunately, i may be wrong though.

Anyone else noticed that Tomlin is now on twitter: @tomlin10

On the subject of twitter, i've seen something related to the Leon Knight saga, which suggests they are trying to do a deal with us at the moment, so he can play back in England for someone.

I'm sure that KC has said that he we do have a sell on clause for Tomlin. I seem to remember him saying at a fans forum that we got a % from the profit of Jacko's sale and that he wasn't gonna let the same thing happen with Tommo's sale. I could well be wrong though - I'm sure Dave Albon will know for sure :D

Looked one of the liveliest players on the pitch when i saw Fulham Vs P'boro.
Glad to see he's doing well and has made the step-up.

I say good luck to him even tho he wasn't one of my favourite players as he seemed to be a Fat hogger sometimes but thats personal Option, but what a twaty comment about the Big Fish at Diamonds = Bollocks we put him on the ladder so he needs to wind his neck in an remember who gave him his chance ,,,,

from the sounds of the quote I get the feeling that he was talking about the conference/league 1 in general, which is pretty fair in my opinion. He was clearly one of the (if not THE) best player in the league last season, and obviously the standard of League 1 is a lot higher, i don't really see where your agression is coming from... :?

But hey good luck to him if anything it il make clubs look lower down the leagues for player's rather than aboard :) :)

I always said, he'll play in the Premiership one day and I'm sticking to my guns on that one! ;)

We would have been stupid if we let him go without a sell on clause - let's hope he comes to the notice of a bigger club than Peterborough and give us a percentage of the transfer fee.

Good luck to the lad, football is a very short and precarious profession.

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm afraid I don't. I'll be sure to ask the question at the upcoming fans' forum though. :D

I think the quote you are referring to was regarding David Bell's sale to Luton, which was for £100k and NO sell on fee, and took place in the January before KC took over in the November. I think it was his first fans' forum when he said that there was no way we would be letting our players leaving without getting the right fee and the right future clauses (there were already rumours circulating about Jacko at that point).

With that in mind, I would be amazed if we didn't agree on at least a percentage of the profit of any future fee for Tommo, and I would imagine we will also receive a bonus if the Posh get promoted to the Championship while Tomlin is there - we did have a promotion bonus for Jacko as well, but it was only invoked if they were promoted from League 1, unfortunately they were relegated the season Jacko joined them and their subsequent promotion from League 2 didn't count.
