The coverage was very biased towards Wrexham. We had a really good spell for 25 minutes at the start of the second half which they virtually ignored.PigmanRDFC wrote:How the hell did we get out of there with a point?![]()
I guess the highlights have a leaning towards the home side's play, but those of you there, was it really that one-sided?
I quite agree - the way we pressurised Wrexham during the first 25 minutes of the second half after being second best in the first earned us the point. The home crowd got very disgruntled during that period, with plenty of cries of "change it Saunders" - which he refused to do. It's easy to accentuate the negatives, as some do to get their opinions noticed, but as with the performances at Fleetwood and Forest Green we really picked ourselves up after a poor showing in the first period. Farrell, PC-H and then Johnson all looked to have great chances at one point, and Gash almost picked out the unmarked Farrell or Johnson about 10 yards from goal when he found space on the left.rushdenman wrote:The coverage was very biased towards Wrexham. Having said that, Wrexham had more chances over the game as a whole, especially in the last 20 minutes.
Besides the PCH header, which i'm not even certain he touched, we didn't actually create anything serious though? (goal aside). Johnson hit one miles wide from about 30 yards, we won the odd corner here and there, and the ball ran off for goal kicks a few times... hardly worth showing on highlights.Formic wrote:I quite agree - the way we pressurised Wrexham during the first 25 minutes of the second half after being second best in the first earned us the point.
