Remember a few weeks ago I mentioned Bath City's "Project 3000" campaign ..

Well seems like it didn't really take on as hoped - crowd against Grimsby at the weekend - 1,800. And that despite a massive marketing campaign. It's not only us that is struggling to pull in the crowds.
This is from a city of 83,000 as well!

Rugby is too big in Bath for the football team to attract big crowds, the 6 nations match was on not long after so that can't have helped.

I hardly think anyone at Bath was expecting all of a sudden get a crowd over 3 times their usual crowd just because of a bit of marketing in the community really, so considering they only got 890 for the scum game 2 weeks before, 1800 isn't that bad I'd say. Its the equivalent of us getting 2100/2200 instead of 1000/1100 which would be a definite improvement, though I think we'd stuggle to get similar results tbh, project 2000 would be the most realistic for us.

In Northampton/the surrounding area a family can see Northampton Saints, a premiership team with 5 or 6 England internationals for a similar price to watch us.
It's when The Saints play away that we should do this "project 3000"
