I don't think it has been mentioned elsewhere, but England C will play Portugal in the International Challenge Trophy Final. Their U23 side beat Italy U23 in Sicilly 3-2 after extra time on Wednesday. After being 2-0 down at half-time, Portugal equalised with a penalty in the final minute, then scored in extra time.

The Final will be in early May (in England), but the exact date and venue has still to be confirmed.

Surely a chance of it being played at NP, we've never had an England C game have we? Think we may have had the national game xi or whatever it was called but not the C team.

We had England under 16's a few years back (apparently Rooney was playing) I remember my primary school getting a load of free/discounted tickets.

It's been talked about before I think, the general opinion was that Luton are pretty much better at hosting these games.

Personally I think we would be ideal, we have the facilities, location and the right sized ground.

We don't have the location. We do in terms of the country, but not in terms of football support. The attendance would be piss poor. It was out of us and Luton to hold the last game and they chose Kenilworth Road, i can't think of any other reason why.

I doubt the Conference are going to use a club who have been penalised for financial issues to represent them.

Well we've been charged? So obviously there are some issues... Whether we are found guilty and penalised or not, I highly doubt other clubs would find it fair if we were chosen...

I personally would have thought the best suited ground and facilities should be chosen rather than the goings on at the team where it is played at..?

They'll choose the place where they can make the most money from, regardless of off the field problems for certain clubs.
