Have been relegated from BSN after having their 5 point deduction. Have we not received ours because of the 'personal hearing'?

Could be any time... ;)
On a serious note though, it could be because we've been able to put together a case that means the matter is not closed. At the fans forum, we were told it was a mistake by PAYE that caused it. That doesn't mean we've won (given the clowns on the conference board) but it means that we've able to fight our corner on this issue.
At this stage, you could argue that we should just accept the 5pts and move on, but if we don't owe the money as mentioned above, we have every right to fight this.

Reddich recieved theirs immediately. Reddich admitted to the charge! Their relegation was confirmed becuase they lost on Saturday meaning it now impossible for them to get out of the relegation zone

As the play off's are now probably out of the equation it might be a good thing if we accepted the point deduction before the end of the season because if it goes on after that and we then receive a points deduction it will come into force next season, which will make promotion all the more difficult.

The one thing which only slightly concerns me about taking this point deduction and moving on is that with us losing 5 points we would be 9 points (10 if you look at our superior goal difference) off the relegation zone, especially as we have a difficult end of season run. It could be a bit of a small risk.

We won't get relegated. What is it with people on this messageboard and going OTT with doom and gloom? I swear that we'll see the biggest activity on here if the club died.

I think it has more to do with money rather than points. PAYE made a mistake and claim we owe them money. We dispute this, which it what is dragging this out.
If any of us were in the same position with HMRC as the club and felt we had a case for not owing the money, we would do exactly the same.

I overheard a member of our board say "I really doubt we'll get the points deduction."

Well obviously if we win the case then we will have nothing to worry about but if we don't then we should aim to take the hit this season rather than dragging it out into next season. If the tax people have made the mistake I would think that it should be sorted out quickly anyhow.

That is interesting.

It should be, unfortunately the taxman in this current climate isn't always inclined to admit it's mistakes. We should wait and see what happens.

I think that tax law is quite straightforward the tax is either owed or it is not owed can't see any grey area's in that?
