Northampton Relegation
I know it's been mentioned in a few threads, but I've just had a look at their run-in.
Tuesday they play Burton Albion who are also near the bottom. This is a big game. If Burton win, they will go about the Cobblers.
Their other games however include 3 of the top 5 in the League at the moment!
They've also got to play Stockport (A) before the end of the season which could be interesting.. Looking at the games left, they've got a pretty tough end to the season

Re: Northampton Relegation
I was thinking about this on the way back to Mansfield, although other events put it out of my mind.
I think a lot depends upon Barnet as well. I think it could still happen, and if it does and we're still around and at this level next season, if we can get things right on the pitch we could attract a lot of neutrals that go to Sixfields. Their relegation could be a very defining factor in improving attendences for us.
My reasoning behind that? Unless they drastically drop prices, it will be £4 cheaper to come to Nene Park and in a better stadium for the exact same level of football. Get right on the pitch and we could really attract some fans.

Re: Northampton Relegation
Just a little something (admittedly doesn't mean he'd come here) to illustrate my point about their fans not paying £19 for Conference football;
http://www.smfserver.com/forums/thehote ... ic=2024.80Call me a **** fan if you like.
But there is not a ****ing chance i will be paying £20 to watch us play Barrow or Farnboro or Spencer, or whatever **** is in the Conference.

Hereford are appealing, but the BBC table was only updated at midnight.
