Me and my mate were just discussing Whether there is anything we can do to help raise money to help. As it seems anything will help at the minute

Buying a good number of shares, buy season ticket and volunteer to help down the club would go a long way to helping.

I think this episode really highlights that we need to support this club now or risk losing it.

Shares and a Trust membership. I hope that the majority of members that signed up for the discount renew in the summer because we really do need a strong ST in times like this.

Why do we need a strong supporters Trust? What do you expect them to be able to do? I'm not being argumentative, or trying to pick a "fight", just genuinely curious as to what you think they could do.

It all goes to the club in the end, does it not? So, it may turn out simply to be a donation to the club rather than a membership fee to a trust that actually does something proactive, but every little helps.

The Trust have been very quite on the problems at the Club, i hope it is because there has been some kind of injuction issued that means a news blackout otherwise the inaction by the Trust of issuing statements or rallying the troops is worrying.

Take the instance of Kiddy, the Club said they were indanger on applying for a CVA to keep the club afloat and alive and within a day the Kiddy Trust set up a fundraising campaign via the web that raised thousands and the local media campaigned for local business to put up funds to secure the Club, within days the Club paid off debts and are now hesading for a possible place in the Playoffs.

The silence is deafening with regards to the future our Club.

This is the aspect of the Trust that annoys me the most. Ever since the 'blueprint' for a Supporter's Trust was devised by Brian Lomax arising out of financial difficulties at Northampton Town back in January 1992 the main aim of a Supporter's Trust was to have elected supporter representation on the board of directors.

Apart from raising money the other main objective was to seek effective involvement and representation for the supporters in the running of the club to ensure that situation would not develop in the future after the previous Chairman had run up a debt approaching £1.6 million and then had issued misleading statements to their fans.

I'm not currently a member of the Trust and couldn't tell you who the elected officials are and don't even know if we even have an elected supporter representative on the board but it's crystal clear that the fans needed a higher profile Trust representation so they are aware of financial problems in the running of the Club.

I'm not part of the trust, Have not been for several Years. I think the main issue with fans who consider signing up is what do the Trust actually no. There website no longer exists, even when it did it was never updated. All it takes is to have an update on what the ELECTED rep has been up too in the the board meeting etc etc

Let's face it the Trust was only formed when Max decided he would rather hand the Club over to the supporters to run. When that went tit's up and KC took over and the major players were no longer interested and the Trust lost it's way and direction. Even the secretary departed to take the CEO job at Corby Town!

Now may be the best time to form a new Fans representative body before it's not too late and we still have a Club to support.

Agreed! The trust as lost its direction and as fallen into the slots of just running the 50/50. New blood needs to be pumped into the trust or a new one set up!

Im Interested to know if anyone higher up in the trust actually posts on this forum!
