Aaron Oconnner (and others)

Seriously, we need to keep this guy. Good player, not the best striker in the league but what he gives us is 150% every game. What's his contract status? MOM for me! Outstanding today.

Shariff looks amazing, we played the ball upto him and his close control and retention of the ball was awesome today. Should now be in the starting XI for next season IMO.

Alan Power was also very good today, after being critical earlier in the season thinking he'd never make it at this level i've seen things in the second half of the season that have really impressed me.

We'll do well to keep half of this team together for next season, we're only a couple of players from a really good side, obviously finances are a problem but i'm trying to be positive.

Corrocon and Miller to start every match!

Sadly I can see Aaron leaving along with Porter, Farrel, Osano, Day, Johnson, Charles and Cousins.

From what i've heard in the last few days Porter will definitely leave.

I doubt Farrell or Cousins will be offered new deals. Farrell definitely won't, what's he done to deserve one? Not to mention the fact he's on the transfer list.

I reckon Johnson and Charles will stay (given an opportunity to untried and untested players), same for Osano, Day and O'Connor given that he is the captain of this team.

It all of course hinges on JE staying.

I think if we get a half sensible offer for any of them they will go, i said when Nabil started today if he scores it will add a bit to his price tag!

When I said sadly I meant for Oconner, couldn't care less about Farrel who has shown a negative attitude since being transfer listed.

The problem we'll have is with finances uncertain. other clubs offering our players financial stability.

I think we will struggle to keep them all because the board are looking at cutting the playing budget from £400k this season and the only way they can get it down and manage it would be to go part time and I think that's where were heading!

Don't think we'll have problem keeping players like Charles and Mills who would possibly except a paycut, and youngsters like Charles and Shariff would also stay after getting their careers up and running

You are being very unfair to Craig Farrell there. He hasn't been in the best of form, as I think he'd admit, after all his injury problems earlier in the season, but he has always put in the effort - although his lack of match fitness has meant tiring in a few games. The fact he was listed was made rather too public, which doesn't help morale at the best of times, let alone the circumstances this season.

He was affected by the sad loss of Dale more than most people realise. Those of us who had the priviledge to hear the interview he gave to Mark Lea afterwards will know what I mean - and he was the first of the playing staff who put his thoughts into words.

If he does leave I will wish him well - and hope he finds a club where he doesn't have to commute the significant distances he has been doing during his two seasons at Nene Park.

Fair enough.

Remember with the transfer embargo in place we can only sign players with an option in their contract I believe
