So then. Now we can put this season behind us (barring the AGM) it will be time to look forward to next year. Does anyone have a list as to whos contracts are up in the Summer? Who would you keep/let go? I've just seen the list for Northampton, and they have 14 players whose contracts end this Summer.

Oh how I wish this season had been different.
I think you will find most of our players are out of contract. Possibly just a couple with options in their contracts.
We cannot register any contracted players (unless they have options in their contracts)until embargo is lifted which I believe will happen when the outstanding tax is paid.

I thought the rule was that we could not register any new player until the embargo was listed, but those whose registrations we hold can be extended.
A good example of this is the extension of Paris Cowan-Hall's loan spell. It was extended after the transfer embargo was put in place.

Yeah, I can't see that the embargo prevents us from extending players contracts who are with us, because wouldn't that then be the case for the coaches etc. as well? (Although granted I know nothing on the subject, just thoughts really...)

It's because the players contracts are for fixed periods unless they have options to extend.
Without an option in the contract it will therefore be a new contract and the registration will not be permitted.

I wonder how this works in the eoropean court. In theory if a player was only offered a contract by us and nobody else but was not allowed to sign for us because of this enbargo he would become umemployed , how does this fit in with his human rights etc i wonder ?

Justin confirmed in his interview after the match yesterday what DM is saying - stating that it is a "Registration Embargo", and the players whose contracts are ending could only be retained on non-contract terms.
