does anyone with knowledge think it would cost to buy Rushden Diamonds FC? And does anyone how much debt we are in too?

I'm just wondering what the chances of someone else buying it are. If it's lower than 500k, obviously it will be a lot easier than a £2mill fee.

And no before anyone says it, I'm a skint student haha, I was just wondering how likely it is someone may buy us.

Buying Rushden and Diamonds, would probably cost you a £1! But you then are given all of its debts which could be as high as £800k soo basically to buy the club debt-free, 3/4 of a million

Doesn't sound too extortionate. There's plenty of people out there that could easily buy us. Do people have any hope?

I was at the creditors meeting yesterday and no confirmed amout was given. We we're all told that it was roughly 500k ? but steve had no idea how much V A T is owed. So who knows ??????????

The problem is you are effectively burning you money if the club isn't self sufficient

The whole situation is wrong. I remember Crystal Palace and Portsmouth having similar problems not to long ago, and I never thought we would be in the same situation.

The Beasent's have are on the verge of killing this club, but of course they wont care, they'll move on as it's only "business" for them. I know this club doesn't have the greatest history in terms of length etc but surely this club just can't end. Something miraculous needs to happen.

If anyone from the club is reading this how about telling us what the extent of the damage is? I know OD#2's poll seemed got a negative response, but I don't think many will mind if you actually told us the truth. Why can't the Beasent's make a press statement in which they reveal the details instead of trying to cover up what is really going on. If it was confirmed that we are f*cked then there is a greater chance of something being sorted!

Why dont we just write a grovelling letter to the Man City chairman to give us a couple of million, its only loose change for them anyway :|

I was thinking this earlier today. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in his household as he hears the latest developments. I guess it was going to happen sooner or later one day, such a shame that he has to see it.

I'm not sure he would take the club back on now even though he would become even more of a legend if thats possible. I read somewhere recently that he still donates to the club although how recent it was wrote, i'm not sure. Maybe with his own business contacts and friends he's made along the way he would lead his own consortium so the burden wasn't all on his own shoulders? Its certainly someone of his mould that this club would prosper under right now and provide a welcome relief to all connected to the club.
