A glimpse of sunshine in the storm...

I wonder if any members of the trust will be able to confirm this for definite, but apparently according to some youth players, the centre of excellence (highest level of our youth programme) will continue to run next year with the backing of the Supporters Trust. If this is true, maybe there is slight hope? Wishful thinking maybe, but it's better than 100% doom and gloom.

Fantastic News.

Fantastic news if true, and shows that the Supporters' Trust is still alive and kicking. They really need a way of promoting themselves though, and announcing this type of thing.

Probably alot more to it than that but its a good start.

Ive heard through the grapevine lots of players have already contacted the other local clubs around here to get trials before the season ends.

Once the horse has gone scenario maybe?

The players quite rightly (if true) are thinking of what they can do to further their careers after the club/Beasants have let them down..

It will be sad to see such a great part of the club disappear.

I'm sorry but the club hasn't let anyone down, the only ones responsible for that are the Beasants. I don't know the ins and outs of the clubs finances but I put this mess solely down to them!!

Personally whilst I think they are responsible for alot of things, no one surely can nearly ruin a club in the short time they have been involved in comparison.

Things must of happened before hand and maybe just maybe they had been handed the titanic on its final voyage.

If I took over the club tomorrow we'd go bust because i haven't got any money, have we ever had any proof that the Beasants have any money? A penniless chairman at Rushden & Diamonds = ruin.

I just find is rather coincidental that every club they've been involved with has then had money problems and gone into major shit.

I dunno if theres a quote for a thing like this... but I'll make 1 up..

If you can't drive a car... get out of the ****ing drivers seat.

Sorry, i didn't mean it in that way, just in the way that the Beasants are now the club and have therefore affected our whole set up including our youth players and will continue to do so until something happens.

The worst thing for me is the Beasants will come up with so many excuses for why they have failed at the club:

1)PBdevs was hit by setbacks meaning the funding was not there in time.
2)The fans did not support the club in it's hour of need. via shares season tickets etc. (probably the worst excuse for me personally) and to think it all started of so positively with the promises they made.
