The 46 mini soccer stars who have been playing at the club for the last two years on Saturday mornings over 3 hours left the club yesterday maybe for the last time - they turned up every saturday come rain/shine every week and always paid their £4 fees 10 weeks up front, they also had a parents 6 a side evening which raised £89 for the Trust in April this year - can I just flag up how good they are and I know a chunk of them will go on to be Diamond fans for ever.

Fair to say only the backing of Helen Thomson kept this group going as long as it did and I hope any future owner/s will look to reinstate mini soccer which has always been profit making.

I've long maintained that this has so much untapped potential and given how popular it is with two fantastic coaches in H and his son who the kids love, it could really bring a lot of kids down to Nene Park.
