......today the day when we hear something or not? Is this rumour that someone, somewhere will be letting us know what the hell is going on serious, or all wind and pi$$? Should I go to work with a tight knot in my stomach thinking I won't have a club to support come 5pm? Living out of area I only pick up what is on the net - is there due to be a statement today, or is it just the usual messageboards rumours?

If it wasn't for the post from 001, who would appear to be more 'in the know' than every other poster on this forum put together, i would have expected nothing today. Afterall, a statement was promised over the weekend and wasn't forthcoming.

I feel a bit sick but what will be will be. Between us we've done our best.

Yep, i had the same feeling on transfer deadline day after Max had pulled out, just kept watching announcements of player after player going, monitoring today through this forum, radio Northampton (online) and OS...........

with Law going yesterday i thought a merger was likely, and i still think it's the likeliest outcome hence the comment on poppynet about checking the covenant about who can play at the ground.

However perhaps it is a groundshare with someone putting some money in?!

2+2 = 94 right!!!

I thought that you can't have two teams ground sharing in the BSP though, so which division would we be in?

Somebody got confused when making that statement - there is nothing stopping that happening - and indeed it would have happened had Woking been promoted, as Hayes & Yeading are using their ground next season.

What have R+D got that warrents a merger, we have no players bar maybe 1, no ground of our own and no manager, we bring nothing to the table but debts and large debts.

All Sadact wants is a stadium, KC has a stadium that needs a user.

The only issues maybe the Legal matter of who can play at Nene Park and the name of the team that can play at Nene Park and any Conference League rules.

We still have a manager - unlike the poppies. At the moment the club is still a tenant at Nene Park, with an appropriate agreement. Having only a single player isn''t necessarily an issue - especially if there are plans to change wage structures / go part-time.

If we have not paid our manager, then we have broke his contract so i would assume JE is a free agent, therefore we have no manager.

Also from what KC said i would imagine we have not paid the rents so again we have broken the tenants contract so we i assume we have no ground.

So what have we got to bring to the table for a merger :?:
