Surely the UK should still have this kind of capability?
As mentioned in the article, even if you build a new ship, it will take years to recreate the expertise and reconstruct the teams of people with the capability you had before.
A short term money saving could cost a lot more in the long term.
Fantastic film footage. The accelleration as the jet leaves the deck is truly breathtaking.
I hadnt realise that those things hold so many aircraft !
Maybe you think that it is an outmoded technology?
Maybe a ship like this is more suited to attack than defence, so is not necessary?
