As we........

.......slip towards our slow and lingering..............or should that read accelerate speedily towards our approaching death, I wonder what Max's thoughts on our situation are? He must feel so sad that his dream has come to this? I bet never in his wildest dreams, even when he handed the club to the Trust, did he think we'd be in this situation, with K*ttering on the point of moving in and taking over the wonderful stadium he built for us.

We're entering the final act of this pantomime now, I really don't think I'm going to like how this show is going to end :(

Shall we play a game of alternate history? Where do you think we would be now if we hadn't given the stadium and the Club to KC and gone into admin? Or if Hill had been sacked earlier, allowing a new manager a couple of seasons to go for promotion?

Rob, I think the "what if" that sticks in my mind most is "what if" we'd won promotion via the play-offs last year, with the money from the League who knows eh? We may not be in this sorry mess.

Absolutely, I've spent so many hours over the last year wondering about that, imagining if we'd scored etc.

I know I've gone on about it before but if we do go and it's 'K*ttering Diamonds' bollocks situation, will someone disclose why he was sacked? ;)

What if we'd beaten Rochdale at home in 2006. I can still see Chris Dagnall slotting home the winner.

To think KC overlooked an expremiership manager for him too, but yes if Westley was stillin charge and not dismissed after what was an impressive run of games. I think we would be laughing. The results were good, hence the gates would have gone up, therefore money in the coffers.

If I was Max Griggs i'd be extremely pissed off that the stadium and surroundings i'd put so much money into for Rushden & Diamonds and the community was given away for next to nothing and someone else is now making money from it. That's only if I was Max, of course.

On another note I will NOT be supporting anything with K*ttering in the name. If however, there was a Northants United or a Northants Diamonds and maybe we could include a couple of the other local teams in there then i'd consider going.

K*ttering Diamonds is an absolute no no for me.
