It makes me smile

I've been following the developments on Poppynet over the last few days and the general consensus was 'no way will I be travelling to Irthlingborough to watch KTFC'. They had a meeting last night, were faced with the only viable option for their club's short term survival and voted in favour and now reading their forum it seems that generally they are now quite willing to travel 9 miles down the A6 to watch them play outside their borough.
Some are now looking forward to watching football in a quality facility, which many were describing only yesterday morning as a souless stadium and dreaming of promotion to the Football League. They're also thinking of a name change for the complex and that should be very easy for them as many have referred to it as either Nonce Park or Legoland in the past. :D

In my eyes their support is no less plastic than us and furthermore, once Ladick has his feet under the table, I predict that a name change will follow with zero dissent from their support. Then their fans will realize that they have been royalty stitched up.

KC and KTFC are welcome to each other. ;)

I know this is slightly unrelated and I don't know if anyone will agree with me about this, but their idea of renaming a stand after Dale does not sit right with me at all.

He was OUR no 1. Obviously I'm not saying forget him but I think retiring the No 1. shirt at the potential phoenix club is a fine gesture. I just feel like having a stand named 'The Dale Roberts stand' with a few Poppies in it and the Diamonds who aren't interested in a phoenix is just wrong.

I agree, if AFC R&D ever managed to get some sort of mini-stadium together the stand naming should be reserved for that.

Personally I think their view of renaming it to the "Dale Roberts Stand" is just a marketing ploy to try and convince us that they're not so bad and that more of us would go and watch them.

Maybe I'm not getting it right though. Who knows.

Indeed Trek, I know it must be hard for them but for all of them just to change their tune so quickly is rather fickle. I still think that they'll get bored soon though, especially on a cold, wet night in February against FGR. Our death took about 6 months, their's could be even longer and more painful. :(

Do K*ttering have to get permission from the Football Association and/or the Conference to relocate their club to Nene Park?
