Having been "offline" for a while I'm trying to catch up, but I haven't quite got to grips with some of the reports of the meeting on 1st July.
Were the current Trust Board represented at the meeting, and if so did they comment on their funds being used for the pre-AFC 2011-12 Youth Team that was discussed - or is the implication they are supporting a youth team based out of Nene Park for 2011-12 ?
It would be good to get some kind of statement from them - especially given there appears to be a split in their board regarding the AFC initiative versus the Nene Park operation. I guess they will have to say something if the current R&DFC is wound up, as their whole raison d'être will be called into question more than it is now.

Re: The Trust and Youth Scheme(s)
Yes, Warren was at the meeting and spoke on a few issues.
Note: There will be full minutes also in due course as well available on the saverdfc website I would think.
The current status on the RDFC youth was more linked to their educatioo. I.e. Being midway through 2 year course that an AFC are not in a position to be able to support, so it is possible that to ensure those lads education and to play in the correct league they would need to be affiliated to an existing club such as Corby Town,
Any AFC youth team is more likely to be a standard youth team with no education links.
At present no firm statements can be made I guess until after we know what happens on Tuesday.

Re: The Trust and Youth Scheme(s)
Thanks.
I guess the whole question of whether a third party such as Corby Town might profit from any graduates of the ex-RDFC Youth scheme supported by donations / subscriptions made by R&DFC fans to a R&D Supporters Trust will need careful clarification. However, I agree that we need to try to look after the first year scholars who would otherwise be left unable to finish their education.

Re: The Trust and Youth Scheme(s)
Warren also seemed to think it'd be an easy step for the Trust to make from the old club to the new one, and it could be at the heart of the set-up as it is already one fan one vote. Also all those who pledged money will be written to, to ask what they want to do with their season ticket donations. It's only fair they can get their money back, or (just maybe) they can use it for season tickets once the new club gets off the ground? That way the club might be able to earn some interest on it (and keep their interest in the new club)?
I still think the Irthlingborough Diamonds Trust could be approached for sponsorship (maybe the new shirts/ shorts/ socks? just to get us off the ground).
Personally I believe that once the current youth system moves, it'll be lost to us for good. Something I'm very sad about cos I loved watching those lads play.

I note there is no sign of the Trust-supported Youth team in the FA Youth Cup draw - http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/NewsAndFe ... cepted.pdf
We really do need some kind of statement from the Trust on their alignment.
