The unofficial AFC Rushden & Diamonds messageboard

With the launch of the AFC club we obviously have to use another ground to get us up and running wherever that may be for the moment. Long term we need to look at moving back into the Rushden and Irthlingborough area. As an idea I wonder if its too late to contact the local council and see if they can help as they are in the process of moving the existing Sports Centre (Pemberton Centre where we had the meeting Friday) upto the Rugby Club area in Bedford Road. This is a 15million pound project and I would like to think that we could be a part of the new facilities up there. Plenty of room and a chance to build a ground slowly as we progress. Just an idea?

I am sure that project is on hold due to budget cuts,good idea though.
