The above Twitter just picked up from the Non league show this afternoon
MASSIVE news re RUSHDEN will be on the conference website at 4pm. First reaction on the show tonight.
Trying not to get excited. Especailly with the wise comments from Pigman earlier today.

Well thats the end of the story for me now, what a shame, at least I saw all the years apart from the first 2 and can say I was part of it.
Living miles from Nene Park, I have no interest in K*ttering "bastards" FC or AFC, so good luck to the AFC crew and hope you get it going.

Conference statement
The Football Conference has this afternoon been informed by the Football Association that the appeal lodged by Rushden & Diamonds FC against expulsion from membership of the Football Conference has been withdrawn by those representing the club.
The hearing, scheduled for Tuesday, 5th July, has now been cancelled and the Football Conference decision to expel Rushden & Diamonds is ratified.
A full statement by Brian Lee, Chairman of the Conference Board of Directors, will be released via this web-site at 11am tomorrow (5 July) concerning issues relating to this matter. At the same time the official fixture list for 2011/12 for all three divisions of the competition will be formally released to clubs and the media.
Will be tough and surreal to see the fixtures with no Rushden & Diamonds in them but it was expected and at least we can look forward now.
