STOP TALKING ABOUT NENE PARK LETS LOOK FORWARD

I totally understand the sentiments and of course you're absolutely correct. I however, like I suspect many other people, still feel incredibly bitter, but more than that cannot easily let go of 20 years of my life. Nene Park holds many happy memories and like when you split up from your first proper girlfriend, logic tells you to make a clean break, but convincing the heart to move on is infinately more difficult. We must move on and pour all our efforts into AFCRDFC, but we all have an indelible link to Nene Park whether we care to admit it or not.

It won't really sink in that Nene Park is not our's any more until K*ttering start playing there, really thinking about it I would prefer that it was bulldozed into the ground.

I agree with that - would prefer it wasn't there. As I said in another post, my stomach goes in to knots every time I pass the ground, whereas before I always had so much pride, so much joy, so much enjoyment and of course of late, a fair degree of pain - but that went with being a football supporter. But there always was the promise of the new season...

Will just have to grit my teeth and look forward to our games at Raunds and build again - this time without the benefactor that was Max Griggs.

Exactly, while I like everyone else don't know whether I could go in that ground again, I still really don't understand many people's instant dismissal of NP after the last meeting there considering the memories I and I'm sure everyone else has had there and I'm still not sure whether the whole situation has actually sunk in yet. NP is to me the home of RDFC and the thought of anything otherwise is still pretty bizarre to me, seeing K*ttering or anyone for that matter playing there week in week out rather than us will be surreal.

But tomorrow will be another excellent opportunity to move towards getting over rdfc I'm sure at what I'm hoping will be our new home :)

Would be comical if we drew K*ttering away in the Hillier Senior Cup in our first season as AFC R&D.

I think everyone K*ttering related will agree that Nene Park will never be their 'home'. Nene Park is the home of Rushden & Diamonds and always will be as far as everyone is concerned.
