Don't know if this has been mentioned, or if it's out of date now.

I mentioned it in the Car Boot thread a few days ago.. no idea why and I can't even remember posting it in that section.

One problem with this - our Senior Team will not have "amateur" status as they will be getting paid. They will be semi-pro. ;)

Don't lose the enthusiasm though - it's fantastic to see people looking for any new revenue streams! :)

Surely our senior team (assuming we get one in the UCL) will only be getting expenses and not a wage? Is there a definition of amateur?

That depends, even in the lower division there are allegedly one or two clubs who pay quite well, others who pay nothing at all or even charge the players a match fee. Unsurprisingly those that pay most generally do best. There is supposed to be one Premier Division club with no playing budget this season.

That'll be Irchester I assume ? I heard the manager was paying their wages and cleared off with the team.

Oops forgot about the Irchy situation, they aparantly had a decent budget before Darren departed, probably not much now. I was thinking of Sleaford.
