My wife has just come up with an idea for a fundraising event.

Her mother died of Leukemia a few years ago and we did a couple of Holistic fairs to raise money for this charity.
She has come up with the idea of holding an holistic fair to raise money for both Leukemia research and AFC R&D, hopefully in the early new year.

This would involve a spread of holistic therapists giving their time for a small fee, i.e. Indian Head massage, Reiki, and other holistic therapies.

Sounds great, I've a few contacts in those circles so can try to encourage people along both as potential stallholders and guests.

Sounds good - we did something similar a few years back now at Nene Park that Balloon Man and Mandy did. Again as with all events the key is getting the word out/advertising etc.. Hopefully with our fans we can have them help to spread the word with posters/flyers etc..

We're pulling together some more fundraising ideas (we had a load from the Markting Working Group also), and after Tuesday, hopefully we can get a small working group together on the fundraising side of things as well.

We're currently working to get the original standard things in place - Quiz nights, 50/50 Tickets, Raffles etc... but we also want to encourage other events as well to raise funds for the cause throughout this year.
