I have to say what a completely uplifting and positive meeting it was - I was bouncing out of the place :D . New kit, new badge and a superb marketing brochure. I loved the idea of this (what was it called) a Community Benefit Scheme ? Can't recall it's exact name, but this is what the club will be set-up as. On the marketing side I love the transparency of it all. In previous years it was always "phone to find out the prices", which I always believed was a barrier and felt like there was a huge price hiding behind it, but our way is open and up front - most refreshing and enticing at those prices. I'd like to see a full list of prices (I think it was probably too much to fit in the brochure, which was expensive to print we were told). Someone also mentioned maybe advertising in the Rushden Reporter and In Your Vicinity magazines which apparently get delivered to around 20000 homes & businesses locally.
Another packed meeting, well attended and professionally delivered.
We voted to put a fixed pricing structure in place for entrance (I think with the option of paying more if you wished, so instead of the fixed £2 or £3, you can donate £5 or £10 or more). Don't forget we wont get that many home games this season (8?) so we must build our money for next season's UCL team.

Great to hear about another positive meeting. But for anyone who wasn't there like me, has anyone got a photo of the new kit, thanks.

Photo's of the new kit should hopefully be going up on http://www.afcdiamonds.com soon, but it will get it's official unveiling at the Dale Roberts Memorial Cup and Fun Day this Sunday.

Speaking of www.afcdiamonds.com, the new website is close to completion and will feature a marketing section where I'm sure all prices will be listed.

We do have only 8 home league games this season, but there will be the potential for a few more in cup competitions (there is already a provisional home game in the Knock Out Cup) and we will aim to have a few more friendly games throughout the season to help make up for the relatively low number of competitive games.

Dave, will the entrance fees be treated as donations to avoid handing over 20% VAT?

Will we really be turning over enough to register for VAT in our first year. Will our income meet the VAT threshold ?

Also we had an interesting deal with St Neots.... whereby if you go and watch their home games, they will give £2 of their £8 entrance fee to AFC Rushden & Diamonds...for every AFC fan that attends... they had a few cards to show at the turnstiles if you were to go.

Also, was shocked to hear that only one sponsor actually paid for an adversing board at Nene Park last year.
