Well first of all, my relatively new Sat-Nav didn't find it! Got me within a reasonable distance but still had to drive around looking for it. If you're intending to go, it's right at the back of a new very modern looking housing estate.

I was wearing my AFC t-shirt and we were made to feel extremely welcome. When we walked through the turnstyle people were greeting us asif they'd known us for years, and some even remarked that they were glad to see us there.

Three people came over specifically to talk to me about R&D/AFC. Sympathised with our plight and wished us well with the new team.

Beaconsfield were 1-0 up at half-time, and made it 2-0 after about 60 mins with a stonewall pen. Then St Neots came back, first from Jamie Tolley, second was a header from Chris Hope from a Lewis Hilliard free-kick, and the final two goals were from a lad called Junior Komadu who is miles too good for that level of football. The first of his goals was a belter.

All in all, enjoyed it! Had no problems getting in without my card, they just added me to the sheet of AFC R&D fans that had entered without cards. I saw a lot of other faces i recognised there, and saw a number of other fans in AFC t-shirts.

Sounds good, didn't go today, as I couldn't get there, but will be going along to a few games.

Any idea of the attendance? Number of AFC R&D fans?

Id guess at an attendance of around 300-350, of which about 20 were obviously AFC. Including the famous Woah Man! Although there was a distinct lack of Woahing.

Forgot to mention - Paul Driver and Simon Parsell were also there!

Edit: Attendance was 366.

Good old Woah Man (does anyone know his real name? :) ), he was at Whitworths on Thursday and was doing quite a bit of woahing :D . Anyway, good to see fans taking up on the St. Neots deal and raising money for the club.

I went with the old man. It was decent entertainment and it was good the walk round the ground and have a few beers. The facilities there are excellent although like Raz said the ground is a bit difficult to find if you havent been before.

I had to work this afternoon, otherwise I think I would have popped over - I know where the ground is because one of my colleagues is based there, its a great little set-up isn't it?

For those interested, heres a fixture list:

I'd like to think their set-up is something AFC R&D would look to emulate if/when we move away from Raunds.

Maybeishould have given people directions to the ground on here, as i have worked on the Loves farm development. You used to able to see the ground from the main road when it was first built, but is now hidden away. Any concerns just follow the yellow signs for "Loves Farm", which is on the road leading to Cambourne, East side of the town
