A Question regarding 'old' R&DFC

I know a lot of people have moved on, and let the 'old' club go. So have i in many ways.

However, i am still slightly interested in the administration process of the club. I have checked the old official website a number of times since the administration started, and i was just wondering if anyone knows what the current position is regarding this?

I have also checked the administrators website for any news, hoping there may be some items for sale, but nothing, so if anyone has any updates i would be most interested.

Phil

Formic wrote:The "old" web site never cost the club money (although a few people chose to believe what they were told by Liam Beasant on that subject) - and there is a long contract with Perform Group who provide the servers and get revenue from adverts to cover this.

The contract will end when R&DFC 1992 finally gets wound up, but the website may remain - as has happened with AFC Halifax Town in a similar situation.

At the moment it is a useful archive site. We have stripped it down as far as possible to what is still relevant to the history of R&DFC 1992 - i.e. the historic stats, historic match reports, A-Z of all Diamonds players (complete with pictures), Match Gallery and Club History pages. We've left the News Archive too, in case anyone needs to research the way the club was brought down.

The A-Z is being updated as appropriate with information on ex-Diamonds when they move clubs (and any changes are tweeted via @officialRDFC).

It may get closed if the Administrator or Perform Group decide it should go - in which case there will need to be discussions with AFC RDFC 2011 about whether they want to try to "take on" this content / history information.

Just to be absolutely clear, neither KC nor the Beasants can update it.

I think the question was more about the 'old' business that was R&DFC as opposed to the old official website. I'm no more the wiser than anyone else as to what may or not be happening and I've also very little interest in it now - I've deleted everything relating to the old club from my favourites and replaced it with the new and shiny AFC. I'd recommend it to everyone - it was quite liberating! :)

Indeed, my question was relating more to the business than the website.

Thanks for the information, that useful post from formic is one i had not previously read

Regarding the original business, it went into Administration on 5th July - see here and in that statement they suggest they will report to creditors within 8 weeks, which would take us up to 30th August. As that is the day after the Bank Holiday, I'd expect them to see something by the end of next week. There then seem to be a further two weeks before they are expected to have had a meeting of creditors.

Although I'm no expert in these matters, I would assume that would normally include publication of a list of creditors. Given the administration process has taken so long, one would guess that the Administrators bill would be significant - and would have priority status.

I too was assuming that details of any assets that were to be sold off would have been published by now, so that the sale could take place and be offset against the debts, but nothing seems to have been forthcoming.

Are there any financial experts out there who can add more detail / facts to this ?
