The unofficial AFC Rushden & Diamonds messageboard

There are a lot of good ideas being touted on this forum to help the club, in both marketing and publicity, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much in the way of offers to put these ideas into action.

The volunteers that have taken our club this far have to hold down a day job as well as give their free time to increasing awareness of AFC R&D, with both the public and local businesses.

If you have an idea, then why not do the research and then inform the marketing committee, who can then act on it............this is not a dig, but we are all in this together and no matter how small you think your contribution is, it is important, that the work load is spread out, before we experience "Burn out" from volunteers.

Come on people, it's your club, feel free to contribute 8-)

I think that effort should be concentrated on raising sponsorship from a few well targeted companies or individuals ,this will be less taxing on resource and in my view raise more money per hour invested.General public events take up a large amount of time and effort and often are poorly supported in comparison to the effort it takes to organise.Sorry if I am stating the obvious

Its probably already been mentioned, been put into the pipeline and probably been produced already. But I think scarves would sell well! Nothing fancy, just white and blue stripes with the new badge on would be good. Retro style scarves are coming back in ;) I'd have thought they'd be cheap to make, and those cold winter evenings watching the lads could see them sell like hotcakes. Not everyone has a spare £30 to spend on a shirt either!
