Of course we know a lot can happen in a few days...The Godfather wrote:Nothing interesting, but they've gone into administration...
At the EGM held on Tuesday night, members agreed a rule change which will enable the Social and Football Club to go into Administration.
Keith Panter and Roger Barratt were authorised to sign the necessary paperwork on behalf of the club.
Subject to the paperwork being filed into court, it is expected that Gary Petitt will be appointed early next week.
This will remove the uncertainty that has surrounded the club for many months and will allow them to move forward and start afresh with new owners.
It is anticipated that the land and buildings will be advertised for sale and that interested parties will be asked to tender by way of a sealed bid so the club should know the successful bidder by mid to late November.
It is hoped that the highest bidder will be able to guarantee football at Cecil Street for a long time to come and that the clubhouse can be put back into use for both football and community use.
The football club will now be run through a company, limited by guarantee, namely Rothwell Town Football Club Limited. In the short-term it will be granted a license to use the premises which will allow the club to have power restored.
so kettrin going to re-relocate to rothwell? wouldn't surprise me.Mad Dog wrote:Fingers crossed they get through this. I don't want their fans to go through what we've just been through with the old club.
I doubt it. Cecil Street would need a lot of money spending on it to bring it up to Conference standard.therushden wrote:
