Team vs. Stevenage

With Osano back tomorrow, I think Justin has a very tough decision to make at the back. I've been mulling it over all day and I would like to see Dale, Robbo, Stuart, Osano and Corcoran (who was impressive on Tues). However, I can't think of a reason to drop Downer.

I think the other tough decision for JE is 442 or 433. I'm no tactician and so can't go into detail about the pros and cons of each, but in such a big game I would feel a lot 'safer' with 442 tomorrow. This also gives Pattison a chance, as I think without Tommo we lack creativity, and IMO Pattison is a player who could give us that spark. Saying that the 433 seems to be working well, and is getting the best out of Louis, so I think I'd take the risk.

I think that playing Wolly could give us the creative spark, although I wouldn't start him as I don't think he contributes much else to the team. Not sure about Farrell either, thought he was pants on Tuesday although his set pieces were superb, and for that reason I would keep him in. I don't think playing Cliff and Louis would work, and I'm not sure Sam would make an impact.

So, I would play:
Roberts
Corcoran Osano Stuart Robinson
Byrne Terry Porter
O'Connor Louis Farrell

Subs Day, Downer, Pattison, Wolly, Cliff

Any thoughts???

Downer and Stuart are forming a great partnership i would be extremely reluctant to break that up.

JE has indeed got a big headache, but a good one to have. I think we look better at the back with Osano but Corcoran is (clearly) a goal threat.

Couldn't call it, but personally i would go with Osano.

Isn't it lovely to have this kind of problem??

I'd go with Downer, Stuart, Robbo and Osano in the back 4.

As has been mentioned Corcoran is a goal threat, so maybe if we were losing with not too long to go we could bring him on to up the pressure from set pieces.

Can't see him dropping Corcoran after two goals in two games so JE will go with the eleven that started against Eastbourne. I think Osano will be on the bench in place of Pattinson. Smith will keep Akurang off the bench.

Corky will definately come in for some stick after his sending off for the tackle on Wilson at their place - I understand he's still struggling to recover from the injury - I say if it ain't broke (no pun intended re: Wilson), don't fix it - same starting 11 as Tuesday with Tomlin and Osano on the bench - I'd also go for a 4-4-2 system against Stevenage - we need a competitive midfield tomorrow !!

I'd keep the Eastbourne starting eleven as well. Did anyone else notice that Byrne was taken off feeling unwell according to the ET ? Hope he's better.
