Seems like James Harrison, who recently signed for AFC, did the business in the penalty shoot out when he had to play in goal after Corby's goalie was sent off. ;)
Good times for Corby.
Evokes memories of Diamonds match against Manchester United in November 2003 before a crowd of 5,500 odd at Nene Park.

Well done to James, I was told before he signed that he would happily play anywhere on the pitch! I hope the Man City game doesn't fall on the same day as one of our matches though, I'd hate for him to have to miss playing against Premiership opposition! ;)
Lewi Williams also played, coming on as a 52nd minute sub. Interesting to see the number of ex-Diamonds as well; Danny Wallace, Kieran Tarry, Sam Watkins, Joe Hopewell and Conner Montone (that I know of at least) all played for the R&D youth team or the development squad, as well as James and Lewi.

We certainly did play United. I turned up with my little 3 year old lad who as mascot to find that one of the officials had not arrived so i stepped up and was fourth official for the game.
Had to tell Brian McClair many times to stay in his technical area!!
Good times.. :P

You must be a new supporter. ;)
We played them back in November 2003 in the FA Youth Cup, shortly after Max Griggs announced he wished to sell the Club. We took a first half lead but conceded a couple of goals in the last 10 minutes to a ManUre side that included Jonathon Spector and Chris Eagles.
Marcus Kelly had a good game and as mentioned Simeon Jackson also played. The match was televised live on Manchester United TV channel.
