Might sound like a silly idea but has anyone thought about running a supporters coach for this one? Having never booked a coach I don't know what sort of notice you have to give but this is probably the most inconvenient away game of the season in terms of distance and consideriing the interest in both home and away games it might be something the club could make some money on. Maybe even a minibus?

Four quid to get in, that's a bit steep

Do they usually charge this for youth games? Or is this a cynical attempt to exploit our large away support?

Is that £4 for a seat AND standing????????? ;)
Dunna what the guy who moaned about £2 at "our place" would say about it?

Its been £4 all season. It has to be -to cover the costs of running a floodlit match with only 30-odd spectators :(

Fair enough if that's the normal price, I just wondered if it was being increased because at most of the grounds we have visited the attendance has been much higher than for any 1st team game.
Not saying Woodford are wrong at all, but the likes of Kempston are prepared to make what I imagine is quite a loss on youth team games, for the long term benefit of the club.

Woodford Dad beat me to it.
Woodford's secretary asked me to point out that £4/£2 are their usual prices, and they're not just trying to exploit us! ;)

Not wishing to open a can of worms on this and to be fair to Woodford, they are in the Southern League, we at Kempston made a determined decision to steer some of the 1st team budget to subsidise our U18 football. We also find that as we don't charge, we get more spectators, players families and friends tend to turn out in quite large numbers. They then tend to buy teas, coffees etc.. which does actually bring income in to the club, albeit secondary income.
As a Community Club we feel its vitally important to invest in our future players at this age.
