My present to you all... is Shaun Murphy. (Do you know who he is diamondsforever? ;) )

You may remember a whle ago, I was hoping to get some pictures with Shaun at PowerSnooker. Unfortunately, he lost on the Saturday and I was only there on the Sunday.

However, if you're unfortunate enough to follow me on twitter or be a friend on facebook, I was VERY fortunate to be at the after-show party last night following Sports Personality of the Year.

Shaun was there and I had a really good chat with him. He hadn't been able to keep up with much about R&D/AFC R&D recently and swore when he found out how things have changed with K*ttering being at NP and us at Raunds.

His mother still lives in Northants and he says he gets here about 12 times a year. When I asked about if he'd be willing to raise the publicity of AFC R&D, he said 'You let me know when and I'm there'.

He really was great to talk to and has given me his contact details. By the end of the night, it was all surreal as we were dancing together, but that's another story. haha

When the evening was over, he was shouting to me: 'Make sure you contact me!' :lol:

I had a mate who went last night as well, he text me to day he was enjoying a few beers with the England cricket team. The lucky bastard!

Merry Christmas everyone !!

I can't believe what an eventful year its been, AFC wasn't even a glint in anyone's eye this time last year, all our thoughts were on the takeover and of course poor Dale.

I've met a lot of new people this year, highly motivated and talented people (not you Bobos ;) ) who will, I'm sure, make our little football club fly this year with the right amount of help and support. We've got a busy and equally as eventful year ahead of us methinks.

Anyway, eat, drink and be merry all, but spare a moment or two to think about those who can't be with us !!

Have a great Christmas and my best wishes for the New Year to you all !! Now, where are my pressies ;)
