Now here's a fictionalised version of a scenario from a Nick Hornby novel. of possible events. A young player with great potential with a Step 3 club is wanted by another Step 3 club. Young player is fed all sorts of info and gets disheartened with existing club. So he says he wants to drop down two levels and play with his former youth team mates at a Step 5 club. But Step 5 club first have to pay a fee agreed by a tribunal which of course they would not normally even consider. Player joins Step 5 club for a nominal figure. After a couple of months he joins the Step 3 club that wanted him originally paying the Step 5 club the nominal fee plus a little for their assistance. At same time depriving his previous Step 3 club of a fair transfer fee.

Interesting scenario! If true then its another example of poor communication and poor man-management from a board that doesn't seem to have anyone on it with any football knowledge.

Not as forthright as your usual player movement news Sussex but from this can we assume he will sign for Tamworth sometime in mid September 😉😉

I did say it was a Nick Hornby story. But truth is often stranger than fiction.

We may soon have a former player playing professionally. I can't think of an instance of this happening yet since we reformed, besides loan players?

Chris Wreh played, and impressed, on trial for Southend against Colchester yesterday.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

And for those of us who were at Boston on a Tuesday night for the cup replay all those years ago with no fit regular strikers we would not have predicted that!!
Fair play to him if he gets signed, he’s desperate to play full time and has certainly improved massively over the past 5/6 years.
