Great news, the youth set up brought so much to the old club, having one again is vital.

This really is great news. 22 youth teams! This will definitely help establish us in the community. Hopefully in the long run it will also provide the club with a supply of talented local players. Excellent work again by the AFCRD gang.

I must stress that it will be 22 teams eventually. We currently have 13 teams playing in the Weetabix League, a Development squad for Reception and Year 1 children and a Multi-Disabled team. We have grown organically and have sustained that growth, our projections will give us teams at U7 through to U16, the Development squad and more disability and girls only squad.
We expect this growth to happen in the coming years, it can't happen immediately for a number of reasons, the main one being their isn't enough room in Rushden!
We have been successful because we offered a child centred approach to kids football, that won't change, and we are confident that our partnership will lead to more opportunities for more kids and a path through to men's football.
We were very impressed by the AFC guys, the partnership makes it clear that they were also impressed with us.
Exciting times for us all

Each team will be given the choice of which name they want to play under.
