UCL - is it the answer?

There's been a lot of talk of joining the UCL and possibly not being put in the Prem. Who makes this decision, is it the league themselves or the FA. If not put in the UCL Prem, could/ should we apply to join another League at Step 5, e.g. the Midlands Alliance ??

The F.A Decide where we will be placed, it will depend on a lot of factors they will consult with the various Leagues in our region at step 5 and look at our application and business plan etc and see where we would fit best in their opinion.

This is surely what Kings Lynn Town did, they should for geographical reasons, have gone into the Eastern Counties, that league was only prepared to accept them into Division One. They then enquired to the UCL who decided to accept them into the Premier. So unless rules have changed in the last 2 years, it is the league rather than the FA who decide which division a club enters.

I'd not heard that about Kings Lynn before, but I can confirm that it is definitely the FA who make these decisions, and NOT the leagues. The FA will of course liaise with the relevant league(s) before making their decision.
