Here's a teaser for you as you watch Stevenage v Spurs.

Can you name the four players in the squads at Broadhall Way who have been on the books at Rushden & Diamonds?

Ashton, Bostwick, Beardsley and... pass.

Interesting one. I've got the obvious three but past that I have no idea.

I think we can assume it would have been in our youth side, or maybe the really young teams.

I'll take a stab in the dark at Don Cowan.

I remember being told we were interested in Darius Charles when he was about to leave Ebbsfleet. Missed out there!

stevenage haven't changed their playing ways. robust and flinging themselves to the ground whenever a spurs player comes within a metre of them.

Complete guess, but it's not the young Aussie on the bench for Tottenham is it? Luoungo I think.. I seem to remember us having a couple of Australians on trial in our final pre season.

OK let's see who it definitely isn't (because we'd know about it).

Cudicini, Bale, Dawson, Kaboul, Walker, Parker, Saha, Friedel, Nelsen, Defoe, Lennon, King, Khumalo, Kranjcar.

That leaves:

Rose, Livermore, Luongo, Dawkins.

I'll have a guess at Dawkins on the basis that his Wiki doesn't list his footballing achievements before he was 16.

They're only players who have made a first team appearence aren't they? I reckon whoever this is was at the club as a nipper!
