It being my birthday yesterday, and being in Dolgellau, I went to the watch AFC Telford United v Fleetwood Town with my son UttoDiamond and Mike C (AFC Telford United), who often used to come with me to Diamonds, and who was until recently the Stadium Announcer at the New Bucks Head.
The Bucks got well and truly... bucked by the Codheads, but all the goals were good (though the first two came from defensie errors).
Richard ("The Mercenary") Brodie was playing for Fleetwood, but the star of the show was Vardy - made two, scored two. He won't be at Fleetwood long, in my opinion, before someone higher up the foodchain snaps him up.
A very enjoyable afternoon: just made me realise how much I have missed standing on the de Banke with you lot... would you believe, Utto and I stood in exactly the same place on the Bucks' terrace as we used to on the de Banke?
I'm on the move again next year... with a bit of luck and a fair wind, season 2013-2014 might well see me back behind whatever the equivalent will be of the de Banke goal...
