Alex Morris was a young, local player for Higham Colts who sadly collapsed and died during a training session in August 2010. To mark what would have been Alex's 18th birthday, his Dad is walking both of the Waendel Walks (52miles) over the weekend of 12th/13th May to raise money for the British Heart Foundation fund set up in Alex's name. If anyone would like to make a donation, please follow the link below:

Please help the Alex Morris fund if you can. Alex played for SRJFC, his Dad coached and his Mum was the sponsorship co-ordinator. They are a lovely family who didn't deserve to lose Alex, who was a lad with a bright future, so young and have shown remarkable strength and courage.
I am in awe of the family

Having done a 46 mile charity walk last year I hope he's prepared himself well for it, it hurts !!
I'll sponsor him when I get back home, I'm on an unsecured Internet link at the moment so won't risk doing it, but I know from experience that to do this kind of distance is a real challenge - well done ! A great cause too !

Steve is only just over £50 away from his target, can you help to get him there before the walk?

Alex's dad Steve, his sister Hannah and good friend Lee Harman completed both 26 mile Waendel Walks over the weekend.
There is still time to donate using the link above
