The unofficial AFC Rushden & Diamonds messageboard

We have been doing some work behind the scenes to launch the Ladies/Girls Section of the club. Coaches and equipment are not a problem, we just need some Ladies and Girls who want to play.

We are sending flyers to the Rushden & Higham Schools inviting interested girls to an open training session on Saturday 12th May at South End School. If anyone knows a young lady from outside the area then please pass on the details are ask them to email david.cockings@southrushdenjfc.org.uk so that we can expect them.

For the Ladies we are arranging some open training sessions in the next few weeks, again anyone interested can email me at the above address and we'll keep them informed of dates etc.

Dave what age girls are you trying to attract?

That's a very leading question Matthew :roll:

All ages are welcome, I'll think we'll be looking to put out an Open Age team, so 15 plus and then whatever age groups we get enough for a team in the youngsters.

We have coaches in place, equipment ready just need some players!
