1 week to go...

After what seems like forever, there's now just one week to go until our first senior game.
Just a bit of a rallying cry really. Drag everybody down to the Dog & Duck next Saturday, anyone that's ever been to a Diamonds game, anyone with any interest whatsoever in football. What a fantastic start it would be if we could get 5/6/700 there next weekend.
Post it on the internet, make a Facebook status and get something on Twitter. Perhaps those that run the AFC R&D facebook page can create an event?
Hopefully this bad weather clears up and we can all have a great day. I think we deserve one after the last 14/15 months!

It has been awful for years. I think I read somewhere that pitch improvements would take up to 3 years.

I think the pitch could ideally have done with a couple of extra weeks before taking a game, especially with all this rain, but it is what it is and hopefully it'll be okay. I think it will improve year on year and we'll probably not see it at its best for a few more years - but we'll get there !!
