I don't think it's a case of interest in the youth team waning but for a lot of us there will only be so much time that you can spend watching football. I saw all but a couple of the U18 games last season, home and away, but there is no way I am going to be able to do that this season as I hope to go to most of the senior games.
I am still as interested in the U18's as I was last year and I have stood out in the pouring rain at Raunds to watch them play WTFC this season. I will still be going although not as often but it certainly won't be through lack of interest.
Sadly, I won't be able to make it Monday which is a real shame because Woodford were certainly one of the stronger teams last year and it would be a really interesting to see how we do against them this year. I would certainly urge anyone who hasn't seen much of the U18's to get down to the D&D on Monday night. They are a great set of lads, they work hard and try to play football in the right way and the football is often of a surprisingly good standard.

I think people will dip in and out of the U18s this year, there were 50 people at last Monday's game - some UCL 1 Senior sides would be pleased with that ;)
Last seasons crop of youth players were in a unique situation, we had no Senior side and I've got to say they stepped up to the plate and delivered a fantastic season to launch our club. People only have so much time and money and of course the Senior side will be the focus of people's attention this year.
We're not losing interest as such and want to see the lads doing well !!

Clearly the crowds for our youth matches won't match last season's attendances and that shouldn't be too much of a surprise. However, I'll stick my neck out and predict they'll be larger than any other NSYL club and will be a level that some UCL clubs would like to have for their senior team as Pigman has already pointed out. ;)

Unfortunately am missing this one, but is due to a Theatre trip planned a long time back that clashes. Will aim to get to as many as I can through the Season. As others have said, some great football is played by the U18 team, and I look forward to seeing that they can do this year.
Oh and it was my mistake the U18 game wasn't on the Posters as you headed out of the Stadium yesterday as I'd misread the fixture list. In future the next game for both Senior and U18 should be there, just to let everyone know.
