As we had a much bigger crowd than expected yesterday we sold out of programmes very early.

Therefore we a going to run another 100 which you will be able to order online or purchase at future matches.

I understand that some bulk buying went on. Have any appeared on eBay yet? I wonder if they will top the £100 plus figure that the Bilston programme achieved 8 years ago?

Was there any feedback received regarding the programme?

I think it's excellent - there's more worth reading than in many programmes with more pages. We'll start having some match and appearance stats in there now the season is going.

Once there are fewer match reports to include I think there will be scope for bigger pictures of the match action - I guess there was so much text this time there wasn't room.

Did Dave Savage give you much off-the-record insight into the wheelings and dealings when the handover of power to Cousins took place - he was definitely one of the "good guys" in those days.

The quotes included in that piece were from a chat with Dave that ony lasted a few minutes as we were pushed for time. He gave my his number though for a future piece that we'd like to do for the programme. I can mention that then to him and get his views. He was really complimentary of his time at R&D.

A University friend of mine became quite pally with Drewe Broughton recently, and Drewe told him how much he loved his time at Diamonds and what a "great set of lads" we had. I thought that was very odd considering for the best part of his time here we were totally useless and of course the circumstances under which he left.

Oh, and if you're doing another interview with Dave Savage, why not ask his opinion on Graham Westley. ;)
