Les Underwood Cup

Post by Sid »

Saw a match in this competition last year involving a UCL side. Only a ref was appointed by the NFA, one linesmen being the home sides chairman the other I believe was the away sides manager  , certainly he spent the entire match shouting instructions to his team
Surely the NFA MUST appoint 3 officials for this one, particularly given what went off on Tuesday.
While I am sure we would easily find a qualified and impartial official 8-) if the 'gentlemen' associated with Whitworths the other night are representative of their club they might struggle to do so

Looking at the results from last season's competition it appears a few games were played in midweek, but if you keep on facing the "saturday only" sides, you can end up losing 5 premium Saturday games. It probably doesn't matter as much to the teams whose prime income isn't the 50 or so who watch the games, but I guess we are the first team with so many fans in this competition.

We are currently speaking to the NFA about this.
