Having to wait.

Good morning All,

I had to ask Dazzler to post a message on my behalf as i knew I wouldn,t be able to post until now.

I would like to apologise for the people who had to wait, and also my apologies to the people who didn,t get their food yesterday.

As chips were not on the menu yesterday, it made everyone then come for a burger/hotdog or bacon roll etc etc etc.

My problem was I fell behind and just the sheer weight of volume of people wanting something to eat i just couldn,t catch up, and I can,t take and won,t take the risk of not cooking the food properly.

I did ask people to wait and asked them to come back in 20 mins or so which in hindsight was probably wrong as I was still trying to catch up on previous orders.

I then had to make a decision then just to cook burgers which then gave me a a litle more time to try to catch up.

I apologise for not serving the entire menu at times yesterday as falling behind made things very hard a somewhat stressfull at times, and although some were very frustrated and fully entitled to have a moan about not getting their food, a lot of you Diamonds fans were very patient and I really do thank you all for that.

Its still working progress and I and others are constantly looking at ways of making things better, quicker and my aim is to always supply you great fans with what you want and to do it as professionally as I can.

Hopefully tuesday night will be better, i will be working as hard as I can to make sure you all get what you want, and hopefully chips will be on the menu. If you keep being successfull I can only see you guys getting bigger and bigger crowds so that means more and more work on the food side of things, and if we can get the other hut up and running asap we can then take away a little pressure from my hut.

I started doing this food from scratch at Wellingborough, and have slowly built up the "burger monster Menu" and hopefully built up the "right" reputation for both our clubs. Although due to you substantial crowds it,s a hell of lot harder and more work when you guys are at home, "BUT" if you guys stick with me we, I will work out the best way to make sure you all get what you want, as I have said before I really do love what I do and have a passion in what i do, and give us time to work it all out, and the burger monster along with your great helpers, both us together will get it sorted.

Once again my sincere apologies and hope to see you at the burger hut on tuesday night.

many thanks for your input. Much appreciated

Haydn

I appreciate that people may not want to eat so early, but I always reckon on getting some food as soon as I get to the D&D. It took around 20 seconds between ordering and receiving my burger at around 2:30pm. As always it was top drawer.

I didnt attend the game yesterday, but at the fakenham game i did have a belly buster and it was fantastic, that was when i went in and it took couple of minutes if that...But i do agree with you bartonraz. If people dont want to wait then the quieter times are when the turnstiles open.

Haydn you are doing an amazing job, and with food as top quality as that at a game i would definately want to wait :D

No need to apologise Burger Monster, it's always going to be difficult as you have loads of customers and limited cooking facilities. Like Barton Raz says the best way to combat this is for people to go at different times and not all at half time, this will help spread the load.

Perhaps an announcement over the PA asking fans to bear with Haydn would help. If people tried to avoid the times when there is high demand then this would help. ;)

Burger was fantastic as always. I always get my burger before the game, and generally avoid the rush.

Haydn, my nephew really enjoyed BOTH of his burgers so there cannot be any complaints in our department. I did notice that about 2 thirds of the supporters seemed to converge all at once so it nust be a bloody nightmare fella. Keep up the great work you'll soon be ahead of the game, lol.
